ARTEM State Joint-Stock Holding Company is an enterprise with over 110-year history. ARTEM is a world famous brand. Being a supplier of defense products to many countries, the company takes one of the leading roles in Ukraine and former USSR in producing airborne guided missiles to arm contemporary MiG and Su type aircraft and their modifications. Today the R-27 middle-range missile (and its modifications) produced by ARTEM is recognized to be the best air-to-air missile. In addition, ARTEM manufactures accessories, instruments and equipment for airplanes and helicopters produced in CIS countries. Since the year 1999 the enterprise has mastered production of a new anti-tank guided missile COMBAT designed to arm T-72, T-80UD and T-84 tanks.
